I was born in Santa Cruz, CA to two dancers who had me onstage before I could pronounce my own name. Upon moving to New York, NY at a young age, I studied at HB Studios and with The Wooster Group, performed on Off-Off Broadway stages such as La Mama and the Ontological-Hysteric, and starred in my own translation of NO EXIT at Bard High School Early College. I continued acting with University Theater at The University of Chicago while studying philosophy, media theory, game design, and discovering a profound love of writing for the screen. After returning to NYC to write, direct, and produce my own web series and audio dramas, write film and TV reviews for Jewish Currents, and participate in Columbia University’s TV Writing Intensive, I moved to Austin, TX for the Screenwriting MFA program at UT Austin’s Radio-TV-Film.
Teaching two discussion sections of Intro to Screenwriting at UT revealed to me the importance of the workshop environment to the writing process. My thesis script DISALOUD, a dystopian sci-fi thriller, finishing as a semifinalist in the Academy Nicholl Fellowship Competition led to industry connections with whom I have worked closely to create scripts with a marketable edge. My service industry horror-satire GOOD TIMES AT THE DEAD END recently premiered at Fright Night Film Fest in Louisville, KY.
